BC Communications Inc. is contracted by the Vancouver Airport Authority to manage their Motorola 800MHz 2-way radio trunked radio network.
YVR radio coverage:
The system is a fully redundant, 14 channel Motorola SmartNet system that was installed prior to the Vancouver 2010 Olympic winter games. It is a very robust system in that it is in a secure location, has a dedicated uninterpretable power supply, lightning protection and is monitored for health. Many users rely on this system.
The cost is $29.90 per radio per month pro-rated. There is no contract. The cost of radio hardware is not included. BC Communications invoices monthly in advance on behalf of YVR.
If you require radios, we can supply options for sale, rent, or to program existing radios to be loaded onto the system.
